Senior Registrar – Internal Medicine (Makkah)

About the role

The Senior Registrar in Internal Medicine provides high‑quality patient care within NMC Hospitals and Clinics in Makkah. Working under the supervision of senior consultants, the registrar ensures evidence‑based treatment, adheres to CBAHI/JCIA standards and complies with Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories, perform physical examinations and interpret routine diagnostic tests.
• Admit patients from the ER and OPD, develop investigation plans and coordinate management with consultants.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, document management plans and maintain accurate medical records.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports and special patient reports as required.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to emergencies and provide outpatient care.
• Assist senior consultants with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to departmental teaching and training activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree with registration and a valid license to practice in Saudi Arabia.
• Significant experience in internal medicine, preferably at a senior registrar level.
• Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions within granted privileges.
• Strong understanding of CBAHI/JCIA accreditation standards and hospital by‑laws.
