Senior Road Engineer

About the role

The Senior Road Engineer will lead the design and technical delivery of road and highway projects across Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and provide expert guidance throughout design and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead road and highway engineering activities, reviewing and approving geometric, alignment, profile, cross‑section, grading and pavement designs.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, AASHTO, MOT Saudi codes and other applicable standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, providing technical solutions to design and construction issues.
• Review engineering calculations, reports, drawings and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Oversee technical submissions, authority approvals and monitor design progress for timely delivery.
• Review and approve highway intersections, interchanges, drainage integration, traffic management, signage and utility coordination.
• Provide construction support by reviewing shop drawings, method statements, conducting site inspections and ensuring QA/QC compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in road and highway engineering.
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MOT Saudi codes and international road design standards.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and resolve technical issues.
