Senior Road Engineer – Mega Civil Project

About the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Road Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This role is within our Infrastructure Division and focuses on civil engineering and transportation projects involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

Key responsibilities

• Technical control of all road works and coordination with other discipline specialists and quality‑control personnel.
• Amplify or resolve design issues, or coordinate design issues with home‑office support.
• Advise technically on design changes.
• Oversee the contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Final review of contractor drawings, schedules, or material submittals to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assess and report on value‑engineering proposals.
• Act as point of contact between the Road Engineering department and the Technical Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Road Design or equivalent experience.
• Professional affiliation with RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
• Over 15 years of project‑management experience on mega construction projects, primarily as a consultant.
• Proven experience on at least one major road project; exclusive contractor experience not considered.
• Design experience and solid understanding of construction, engineering principles, local codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Excellent communication, report‑writing, teamwork, problem‑solving, autonomy, flexibility and technical rigor.
• Transferable Iqama for non‑Saudis, based in Riyadh, and valid SCE membership.
