Senior Services Sales Engineer – Motors & VFD

About the role

ABB Motion, which supplies motors, generators and drives to industrial customers, is hiring a Senior Services Sales Engineer in Jeddah. The role reports to the Service Sales Manager for Cement and Mining and covers the service sales process, including installed base (IB) penetration and the full service product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales in the assigned area, selling the full service portfolio with other ABB service units
• Penetrate the installed base, promote upgrades, retrofits and value-add solutions, and build long-term customer relationships
• Understand channel strategy, set prices, prepare and review sales plans, and propose recovery plans when needed
• Use the IB database to identify service opportunities and update it regularly with site changes
• Develop new market opportunities and act as a marketer at campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions and customer meetings
• Translate customer needs into ABB service solutions, document feedback and follow up on proposals and tenders
• Plan and report weekly sales visits in CRM, manage the pipeline, and communicate contract details
• Contribute to price and quality risk assessments and register information in the customer database

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience with the ABB Motion Services portfolio, preferably in sales and technical support for Motor and VFD services in Cement, Mining, Minerals and Utilities in the western and southern Saudi Arabian market
• Fluent English and Arabic

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Motor and VFD systems, services, spare parts, service contracts and modernization
• Project and solution-based sales, with cross-country collaboration in virtual teams
• Proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC)
• Basic knowledge of IoT and condition monitoring on Motor and VFD
