Senior Specialist, Full Potential Identification

About the role

Ma'aden, a major multi-commodity mining and metals company in the Middle East, is hiring a Senior Specialist, Full Potential Identification in Riyadh. The role identifies, validates and accelerates performance improvement opportunities across its assets, helping business units unlock operational value through diagnostics, value-based prioritization and data-driven optimization. It works with operations, maintenance, technical, finance, digital and analytics teams to improve throughput, reliability, recovery, cost efficiency, energy performance, safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational diagnostics to find high-value opportunities in production, reliability, cost, recovery, energy, safety and overall performance
• Quantify improvement potential through data analysis, benchmarking and structured assessment methods, and build value cases for prioritization
• Monitor improvement initiatives and value realization plans, and track risks, gaps and value leakage
• Use operational data and KPIs to spot bottlenecks and turn challenges into process, technology, automation and digital improvements
• Coach teams on performance management, continuous improvement, root cause analysis and value tracking
• Keep visibility of opportunity pipelines, progress, realized value, risks and lessons learned, and strengthen governance and methodology frameworks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Process Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 6-8 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, performance optimization, asset performance or value realization
• Experience identifying, quantifying and tracking improvement opportunities in mining, processing, manufacturing, utilities or heavy industry
• Experience in KPI management, operational diagnostics, root cause analysis and cross-functional initiative coordination
