Senior Trader – Systematic & Discretionary Strategies

About the role

TradeX Protocol is seeking an experienced Senior Trader to join its Riyadh office as part of its expansion in Saudi Arabia. The role combines systematic and discretionary trading across gold, FX, commodities and digital assets, working closely with quantitative researchers and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage systematic and discretionary trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
• Monitor global market conditions, volatility, liquidity and major economic developments.
• Manage position sizing, exposure, drawdowns and overall portfolio risk within defined limits.
• Analyse trading performance, identify optimisation opportunities and refine execution.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to improve automated strategies and test new ideas.
• Oversee automated trading systems, intervening when necessary, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk requirements.

Required profile

• Proven professional trading experience in global financial markets, especially in gold, FX, commodities or digital assets.
• Strong understanding of technical analysis, market structure, liquidity and trade execution.
• Experience with systematic, algorithmic or quantitative trading strategies and robust risk‑management practices.
• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
