Senior Visual Designer - Digital Banking UI

About the role

CoorB builds solutions focused on process automation, user experience and data analytics for the finance industry. It is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to create high-fidelity digital banking interfaces across mobile and web for retail and corporate customers, delivering consistent, accessible and build-ready UI within enterprise design systems and banking platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity UI designs covering complete journeys, states, exceptions and responsive experiences.
• Apply enterprise design-system components, patterns, tokens, typography, colour and visual guidelines consistently.
• Design for English LTR and Arabic RTL experiences with the Arabic design specialist.
• Ensure designs meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements.
• Create or direct iconography, illustration, imagery, motion and micro-interactions.
• Produce developer-ready specifications and handover materials.
• Work within Backbase and identify design-system gaps, proposing new or enhanced components through design governance.
• Collaborate with UX, research, content, design operations and engineering teams, and iterate designs based on research, feedback and usability testing.
• Support developers during implementation and review delivered screens against approved designs.
• Work within Agile sprint cycles, document design decisions and mentor junior and mid-level designers.

Required profile

• 6-10 years of UI/visual design experience, including 3+ years in enterprise, financial services or regulated digital products.
• Strong portfolio of complex, responsive, multi-state digital experiences.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; degree or diploma in Design or a related field preferred.
• Advantages: Backbase or similar banking platform experience, Arabic/RTL design experience, and GCC/KSA banking or regulated-industry experience.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including shared libraries, components, variants and tokens.
• Good knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and developer-ready design specifications.
• Experience with iconography, illustration, motion and micro-interactions.
• A plus: HTML/CSS or motion tools such as After Effects, Rive or Lottie.
