Service Engineer – Steam

About the role

The company is seeking a Service Engineer – Steam to install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain steam boilers and related systems at customer sites across Saudi Arabia, primarily in the Eastern Province.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain steam boilers, burners, feedwater systems, condensate piping and control systems.
• Execute planned and corrective maintenance according to OEM and company standards.
• Perform on‑site risk assessments and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support statutory inspections per Saudi regulatory requirements (SGS, Lloyds, Apave, etc.).
• Ensure correct operation of boiler safety logic (BON/BOFF/PSH/WP parameters).
• Act as primary technical expert at customer sites, including refineries and petrochemical complexes.
• Provide operational guidance and training to customer operators.
• Complete service reports, commissioning sheets and timesheets daily.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, PPE and diagnostic devices.
• Travel across Saudi Arabia and support operations during shutdowns and peak demand periods.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Thermal or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience with steam boilers, burners or industrial thermal systems.
• Strong knowledge of steam generation, water quality and pipe sizing best practices.
• Understanding of Saudi Aramco, SABIC and refinery safety requirements (preferred).
• Ability to work independently in remote or high‑pressure industrial environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
• Willingness to travel across Saudi Arabia, especially to the Eastern Province.
