Software Engineer – High‑Performance Object Storage

About the role

MinIO is looking for a Software Engineer to help build the world’s fastest object storage platform that powers AI and analytics workloads for Fortune‑500 customers. You will work on core systems that handle exabyte‑scale data, from low‑latency I/O to distributed protocol design.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of storage engine components without relying on ticket queues or stand‑ups.
• Design, implement, and debug low‑level networking and OS‑level functionality.
• Collaborate with architects and other individual contributors to deliver high‑performance, correct code.
• Contribute to the full data stack for AI, including object store, table store, and retrieval layers.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of operating‑system internals and networking from the socket layer up.
• Strong opinions on memory management, concurrency, and correctness, coupled with humility to revise them.
• Proven ability to debug complex, reproducible issues that others cannot.
• Self‑motivated curiosity and the grit to start and finish hard problems.
