Sorting Team Leader

About the role

Join JD Logistics, a technology‑driven supply chain leader, and lead a high‑performing sorting team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for planning, supervising and continuously improving sorting operations to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods. This role combines operational leadership with hands‑on problem solving to keep the flow of cargo smooth and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scientific sorting plans based on cargo volume and timeliness targets, allocate tasks, and coordinate equipment usage to maintain orderly operations.
• Oversee sorting workflows, inspect compliance with standards, and promptly correct any violations while analysing bottlenecks to optimise paths and methods.
• Handle anomalies such as cargo damage or sorting errors, provide timely feedback, and coordinate corrective actions to reduce error rates.
• Manage daily team activities, organise training sessions on operational skills and safety, monitor performance, and foster a positive, cohesive work atmosphere.
• Collaborate closely with loading/unloading, transportation and other functions to ensure smooth hand‑over of goods and resolve interface issues.
