Sous Chef - Kitchen Department

About the role

A Radisson hotel in Riyadh is looking for a Sous Chef to join its culinary team. The role is central to the kitchen department, which delivers the guest dining experience across the whole hotel, and works within a team focused on guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the kitchen department and deliver the guest dining experience to the highest standard.
• Work as part of a team that responds positively and promptly to guest enquiries and resolves problems.
• Take responsibility for assigned duties and complete them in a timely, professional way.
• Deliver departmental plans and objectives so that hotel initiatives and targets are met.
• Collaborate with the immediate supervisor to control costs and inventory and to attain productivity and performance levels.
• Maintain effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation for internal and external audits, including follow-up where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and the ability to lead and work well with others.
• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of assigned duties.
• Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence.
• Experience working with IT systems on various platforms.
