SQL Data Analyst – Server & Performance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our database platforms across development, testing, and production.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (2016‑2022) in all environments.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, execution‑plan analysis, and TempDB configuration.
• Monitor system health (database and OS) and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Design, implement, and support high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions, including failover clustering.
• Plan and execute backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Administer Windows Server infrastructure supporting SQL workloads, including OS‑level performance tuning.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, T‑SQL, and SQL Agent jobs.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for incidents and drive preventive actions.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016‑2022).
• Proven Windows Server administration (2016‑2022) and failover clustering expertise.
• Deep understanding of query optimization, indexing, TempDB, and OS performance tuning.
• Experience with backup/recovery tools (native solutions; Veeam a plus) and monitoring platforms (e.g., SCOM).
• Solid PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
