Static Technician I – Maintenance & Installation

About the role

KBR is seeking a Static Technician I to maintain and service static equipment and process piping systems in an oil & gas environment. The role involves installation, routine maintenance, and repair activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work orders, drawings, and specifications from the supervisor and execute tasks accordingly.
• Lead a team of technicians and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
• Operate heavy‑duty specialized tools from the central tool room and basic machine tools such as grinders, power saws, drill presses, and threading machines.
• Perform installation and maintenance work following SATORP procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct required testing (hydrostatic, pneumatic, etc.) and obtain necessary work permits before starting work.
• Maintain strict compliance with SATORP safety standards and report near‑misses or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure good housekeeping during and after job completion and achieve quality and schedule targets.

Required profile

• High school diploma in engineering or equivalent; diploma preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of oil & gas maintenance experience (or 6 years with a diploma).
• Valid certification from a recognized third‑party or accredited Saudi institute.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management for oil & gas facilities.
• Well‑organized, proactive, and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Operation of heavy‑duty specialized tools.
