Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant will ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian fiscal regulations, handling VAT, Zakat and Withholding Tax obligations. You will be the primary liaison for tax audits and external reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting shareholder affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly VAT returns, Zakat declarations and Withholding Tax submissions through ZATCA portals (ERAD/FATOORA).
• Assist in responding to ZATCA inquiries, manage tax audits and provide required documentation to authorities and external auditors.
• Record and review tax‑related journal entries and perform reconciliations between the General Ledger and tax filings.
• Manage shareholder accounts, ensuring correct recording of dividends and equity‑related tax implications.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to capture tax data and guarantee compliance with Saudi e‑invoicing requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of specialized experience in Tax and Zakat within the Saudi market.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi Zakat rules, VAT laws and Withholding Tax regulations.
• Certificate in Tax and Zakat (SOCPA‑accredited or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Financial Modeling).
• Proficiency with ZATCA online portals (ERAD/FATOORA) for filing and reporting.
