Technical Consultant – Gynecology & Hernia – South Region

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the Advanced Surgical Line in the South Region. The role involves extensive travel to hospitals, spending the majority of time in operating rooms to ensure safe and effective use of Medtronic’s gynecology, hernia and general surgery technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to sales teams and healthcare professionals during OR cases, product demonstrations, installations and maintenance.
• Promote and support the use of Medtronic’s GYN, hernia and general surgery tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Deliver on‑site education and consulting to surgeons, nurses and other HCPs.
• Act as a liaison between sales personnel and technical staff, supplying necessary technical data for product presentations.
• Contribute to the execution of line strategy and assist in developing customer relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, medical technology, nursing, clinical sciences or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical devices, clinical support or surgery sales, preferably within GYN or general surgery specialties.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with a proven track record of building relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of working days within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of gynecology, hernia and general surgery medical devices.
• Experience with product installation, maintenance and on‑site clinical support.
• Ability to interpret and convey technical and clinical information in a fast‑paced environment.
