Technical Support Specialist – Drilling Operations

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will provide on‑site and remote IT assistance for the drilling department of a leading Saudi mining company. You will ensure that hardware, software and network systems operate reliably to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement of drilling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to drilling and site personnel, responding promptly to service requests.
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware, software and networking equipment.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking and documentation of systems and issues.
• Monitor network performance, ensure cybersecurity measures are applied, and support site communication systems.
• Assist with data backup, recovery processes and field data‑collection devices.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical support and manage help‑desk records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 + years of technical support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills, with basic English proficiency.
