Web Engineer II – Frontend & Backend Development

About the role

We are looking for a Web Engineer II to develop and enhance our frontend applications while also building sophisticated backend APIs and services. You will work within an Agile team to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support our financing platform and millions of users across retail, travel, education, and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Agile practices, ensuring Scrum adherence and facilitating daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Mentor team members throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with product, backend, mobile, and QA engineers to deliver integrated, high‑quality features.
• Participate in frontend chapter meetings, share best practices, and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Define test cases, support automated and manual testing, and uphold release quality standards.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain codebase health, and drive CI/CD automation for efficient deployments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on frontend development.
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES2023), asynchronous programming, and concurrent rendering concepts.
• Experience designing secure, performant web applications and applying OOP and SOLID principles.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments using pair programming, TDD, and continuous delivery.
