Academic Manager – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The British Council is seeking a dynamic, forward‑thinking Academic Manager to lead continuous improvement of product and service delivery across the Saudi Arabian market. The role focuses on ensuring that English language teaching and assessment offerings consistently meet customer needs while maintaining high standards of quality and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Teaching Excellence initiatives, including teaching standards, observation systems and academic quality frameworks.
• Analyse performance data, feedback and structured review processes to assess teaching effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver targeted learning and development programmes for staff.
• Collaborate with global Proposition, Network and Functions teams to translate strategy into local market success.
• Support market performance by strengthening proposition effectiveness and achieving product and performance targets.
