Accountant – Finance & Accounts

About the role

IDP is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage finance and accounting functions at the local level in Saudi Arabia. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger entries, maintain trial balance, and compile financial statements using the ERP system.
• Handle GST/VAT calculations, quarterly and annual tax submissions, and prepare related tax schedules.
• Reconcile daily collection receipts and ensure accurate recording of cash flows.
• Support external audit processes, including preparation of audit files and liaising with auditors.
• Apply company financial policies, identify inconsistencies, and report issues to management.
• Participate in additional finance projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, reporting, auditing, and taxation.
• Proficiency with ERP or other financial applications.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Saudi tax law (GST/VAT) and ability to prepare tax reports.
