Accountant – Full‑time, Al Khobar

About the role

Al Bahlaq Trading Company (BTC) is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team in Al Khobar. The role involves managing daily financial operations, supporting month‑end and year‑end closures, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and account balances.
• Prepare and issue invoices, process payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Support payroll processing and employee expense reporting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare periodic financial and management reports according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and authorities.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records to facilitate decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payment processing and bank reconciliations.
• Practical experience using SAP Business One.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Saudi accounting standards, VAT, ZATCA regulations and taxation principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data, support budgeting/forecasting and meet reporting deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and strong written and verbal communication skills.
