Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join Assystem’s finance team in Saudi Arabia. The role supports the company’s mission to accelerate the energy transition by ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all journal entries, receipts and disbursements.
• Manage vendor invoicing, payment approvals, accounts payable processing and monitor aging accounts receivable.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, inter‑company balance reconciliations and subsidiary ledger reviews.
• Prepare and file quarterly/monthly VAT returns in accordance with ZATCA regulations and ensure e‑invoicing standards are met.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare preliminary balance sheets, profit & loss statements and cash‑flow reports for management.
• Provide documentation and analytical support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services, engineering consulting or a corporate environment in Saudi Arabia.
• Registration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) is required; progress toward CPA, CMA or ACCA is a strong plus.
