Accounts Receivable Senior Specialist

About the role

HALA, a fast‑growing fintech operating across the MENAP region, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Senior Specialist to join its Finance Operations team. You will be responsible for monitoring the company’s receivable portfolio, ensuring accurate recording of revenues, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily collections and verify that all payments are correctly reflected in the accounting system.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies such as unapplied receipts, short payments, and duplicate entries.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare aging reports, track overdue balances, and support collection performance dashboards.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, ensuring receivable balances are complete and accurate.
• Contribute to the improvement of AR processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for audit purposes and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, finance operations, collections, or accounting.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments or financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
