Applications Engineer - Temperature Control

About the role

Join Aggreko in Riyadh as an Applications Engineer focused on Temperature Control. You will create project‑specific designs, support technical documentation for sales bids, detailed design phases, and operational projects, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with client technical staff and conduct site visits to verify project requirements.
• Advise the sales team on design issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Design power and temperature‑control packages that optimise use of Aggreko fleet products.
• Prepare 3‑D drawings, construction diagrams, schematics, P&ID, single‑line diagrams and site layouts.
• Perform HVAC heat‑load calculations, equipment sizing, pressure‑drop and flow analyses.
• Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME, IEC standards and local regulations.
• Generate mechanical/piping bills of material and engineering documents for construction.
• Provide engineering assistance to operational projects and support the full project life‑cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of design experience in MEP – HVAC, power generation or oil & gas.
• Fluent English; additional language is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer‑focus orientation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites for visits and client meetings.

Required skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Experience with HAP, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• HVAC heat‑load calculation and equipment sizing.
• Pressure‑drop and flow calculation expertise.
• Creation of P&ID, single‑line diagrams and 3‑D models.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME and IEC codes.
