About the role
WSP Middle East is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to expand its archaeology and cultural heritage services across the region. The role combines commercial strategy with deep technical knowledge of heritage, aiming to secure new projects and strengthen client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives for archaeological and cultural heritage services throughout the Middle East.
- Identify, target, and win new work with government bodies, tourism authorities, developers, and infrastructure clients.
- Act as the primary ambassador for WSP’s heritage team, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Expand the portfolio of services, including archaeology, conservation, heritage master planning, and cultural development.
- Contribute to archaeological assessments and written heritage deliverables.
- Liaise with stakeholders, curators, regulatory bodies, and clients to support project approvals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as environment, planning, sustainability, and urban development.
- Promote integrated heritage services within internal WSP teams and ensure high‑quality project delivery aligned with technical, safety, and commercial standards.
Required profile
- Proven experience in archaeology and heritage business development within the Middle East.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of securing heritage‑related contracts.
- Experience managing archaeological or heritage projects, including fieldwork, financial oversight, and team coordination.
- In‑depth knowledge of regional archaeology, planning processes, environmental legislation, and heritage regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior clients.
