Assistant Consultant - Internal Medicine & Hematology

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Consultant to deliver comprehensive internal medicine and hematology care to adult patients via telemedicine. The role involves evidence‑based assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across multiple organ systems, as well as benign and malignant blood disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough telehealth consultations, including history taking and review of systems for adult patients with general medical or hematologic complaints.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic internal‑medicine conditions such as cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, infectious and rheumatologic disorders.
• Assess, diagnose and treat benign and malignant hematologic diseases, including anemias, coagulation disorders, hemoglobinopathies and hematologic malignancies.
• Order, interpret and act on laboratory and imaging investigations, including CBC, peripheral smear, coagulation profile, haemolysis screen, haemoglobin electrophoresis and bone‑marrow reports.
• Develop personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans, manage pharmacologic and hematologic therapies, anticoagulation and transfusion strategies, and coordinate referrals to specialty services.
• Participate in population‑health management and value‑based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board eligibility or certification in internal medicine and/or hematology.
• Experience delivering care via telemedicine platforms.
• Ability to manage complex, multimorbid patients and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence‑based practice.
