Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center, Riyadh Minhal is looking for an Assistant Director of Sales to support the Director of Sales in reaching the hotel's commercial objectives. The role drives sales revenue, develops new business, manages key accounts and strengthens the hotel's position in the Riyadh market.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the hotel's sales strategy and business plans.
• Drive room revenue, ADR, occupancy, RevPAR and overall sales targets.
• Develop new corporate, government, MICE, group and business accounts, and maintain relationships with key clients.
• Make regular sales calls, client visits, presentations and hotel site inspections, and turn leads into revenue.
• Work with Revenue Management to maximise revenue and market share, and support negotiations of corporate contracts, rates and commercial agreements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, account production and sales performance, and prepare sales reports, forecasts and action plans.
• Coach and guide the Sales team, and coordinate with Operations, Reservations, Front Office, F&B, Events, Finance and Revenue Management.
• Ensure client satisfaction, compliance with Radisson standards and professional representation at networking events and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of hotel sales experience; previous experience as a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Riyadh corporate and hospitality market.
• Experience with corporate, government, MICE and key accounts.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, business development and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel sales/CRM systems.
