Assistant Operations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Operations Manager will support the management of facilities and operations across a portfolio of buildings. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and aligning activities with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to division and business unit strategy development in line with corporate vision.
• Lead the Facilities Management function, ensuring contractual commitments are met.
• Set objectives, manage performance, and develop the Facilities and Operations team.
• Assist in defining an optimal organisational structure for efficient resource utilisation.
• Prepare and monitor the business unit budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Oversee resource planning and allocation for projects, civil, mechanical, electrical works, landscaping and inspections.
• Discuss side‑specific budgets with customers, advising on CAPEX, cost reductions and asset feasibility.
• Develop and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to align with client and supplier expectations.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure selection of qualified service providers at optimal price.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or operations management within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, CAPEX planning and cost optimisation.
• Ability to lead teams, set performance targets and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and customer interaction.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
