Associate Principal – IT & Security Audit

About the role

The Associate Principal will lead day‑to‑day internal auditing of Elm’s information technology controls and security systems. The role ensures audit engagements are planned, executed and reported in line with Elm’s policies and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute annual IT audit engagements, including risk assessments, process mapping and audit program development.
• Perform fieldwork, prepare audit reports and discuss findings with process owners following IIA standards.
• Review Elm’s applications, networks, databases and operating systems to evaluate confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity gains across IT audit processes.
• Prepare timely and accurate internal audit reports and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a Master’s degree in Business, Finance or IT.
• Professional IT audit certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT or CISM.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in IT audit, risk assessment or information security within a corporate environment.
