Audit Manager – Internal Audit Lead (Saudi Arabia Branch)

About the role

The Trade Bank of Iraq is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to head the Internal Audit function at its Saudi Arabia Branch in Riyadh. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting risk‑based audit engagements across all business, operational, financial, credit, treasury, IT and support areas, ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the branch’s internal audit charter, methodology and working‑paper standards in line with IPPF and SAMA requirements.
• Prepare the annual risk‑based audit plan, supported by a documented audit universe and risk assessment, and obtain Audit Committee approval.
• Plan and execute audit engagements, including scoping, fieldwork, testing and evidence gathering.
• Evaluate governance, risk management and internal control effectiveness, identifying weaknesses and root causes.
• Draft clear audit reports with findings, risk ratings, root‑cause analysis and practical recommendations; agree management action plans.
• Monitor implementation of agreed actions and escalate overdue items.
• Provide periodic audit dashboards and reports to the Audit Committee, Board members and Head Office Internal Audit.
• Conduct special reviews, investigations and ad‑hoc assignments as requested.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory examination teams.

• Qualified professional with strong technical audit expertise and knowledge of banking operations.
• High integrity, independence and sound professional judgment.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings constructively to senior management and audit committees.
