Automation Engineer

About the role

Industry360 is seeking a full‑time Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain automation solutions that integrate with its Industrial Intelligence Platform. The role focuses on process optimisation, reliable control and seamless connectivity between shop‑floor devices and higher‑level MES/IIoT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and commission PLCs, SCADA and related control loops for industrial environments.
• Integrate sensors, robotics and other equipment with the platform, ensuring reliable communication via industrial protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve automation and electrical issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Support system upgrades, commissioning activities and on‑site customer installations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand production requirements and improve system performance.
• Document technical specifications, procedures and configuration details for long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting ability to analyse and fix automation and control system problems.
• Process‑control expertise, including PLC and SCADA configuration and optimisation.
• Electrical engineering knowledge of industrial power systems, wiring standards and safety practices.
• Automation experience covering system integration, programming of control devices and deployment of industrial solutions.
• Robotics skills for configuring, programming and maintaining industrial robots or robotic cells.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, preferably with IT/OT integration, MES or IIoT.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols and safety standards.
