Barista – Café Specialist at Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Barista to become the heart of our café at Fairmont The Red Sea in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. You will deliver exceptional specialty coffee experiences while providing warm, professional service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks with precision, mastering espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Deliver engaging, professional service, anticipating and exceeding guest needs.
• Provide informed menu recommendations and answer guest queries about ingredients and preparation.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments via POS, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work station, adhering to food safety standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including equipment setup, inventory checks, and facility preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak and off‑peak periods.
• Create attractive product displays and engage customers with knowledgeable recommendations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Food & Beverage or retail.
• Proven barista experience with expertise in specialty coffee preparation.
• Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
