Business Development Representative

About the role

The Business Development Representative will drive new business opportunities for our contracting, construction, timber and furniture portfolio. You will be responsible for prospecting, managing client relationships and supporting the full sales cycle from lead generation to project hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new leads through outreach, networking, referrals and market intelligence.
• Track upcoming projects, map decision‑makers and maintain regular follow‑up on status and requirements.
• Conduct client visits, attend exhibitions and build a strong network of key industry contacts.
• Coordinate with estimation, technical, design and commercial teams to prepare competitive proposals and quotations.
• Support negotiations and ensure smooth hand‑over of awarded projects to sales and operations teams.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends and provide market intelligence to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of business development experience, with at least 2 years in contracting, timber or furniture sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction projects, tendering processes and contract management.
• Proven experience working with consultants, developers and government entities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
