Certification Engineer

About the role

The Certification Engineer will lead regulatory certification activities for automotive products across the Middle East and Africa. You will ensure that vehicles and key spare parts meet local market requirements, enabling timely launches and deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, interpret, and maintain regulatory certification requirements for Middle East and Africa markets.
• Obtain local regulatory updates, establish access rule lists, and provide internal access guidelines.
• Drive end‑to‑end project advancement, including pre‑project certification input, coordination with headquarters and regional certification bodies, risk tracking, and archiving of certificates and reports.
• Conduct pre‑access regulatory compliance reviews, collaborating with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to secure certification plans for vehicles and spare parts during development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of overseas automotive regulatory certification experience, preferably with successful leadership of at least two complete vehicle certification projects in the Middle East or Africa.
• Familiarity with the full certification lifecycle from R&D import to certificate acquisition.

Required skills

• Proficiency in international automotive product certification systems and processes.
• Experience with regulatory certification procedures for automotive products.
