Chief Accountant – Dammam, Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance function in Dammam. The role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IAS.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and General Ledger entries.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
• Monitor profitability, cash flow, income and expenses across the business.
• Review bank reconciliations, tax reports and other accounting documentation.
• Coordinate audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Oversee payment approvals and enforce strong financial controls.
• Collaborate with banks, suppliers, customers and regulatory authorities on financial matters.
• Support the Group CFO with banking activities and investment‑related transactions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting best practices.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing finance and accounting functions.
• Experience in the financial services sector or a related industry is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, taxation and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP and SAP accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
