Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant oversees daily general ledger processes, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and discrepancy resolution across the organization. This role provides guidance to finance teams, supports departmental queries, and maintains strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects and standard operating procedures audits.
• Manage account balancing, ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Supervise finance staff handling general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, fraud prevention, and collection procedures.
• Prepare timely reports, presentations, and analysis for management.
• Monitor taxes, document profit and loss accurately, and complete period‑end close activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (4‑year program).
• At least 1 year of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and financial controls.
