Chief Accountant – Luxury Hotel Cluster

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to support the Director of Finance in overseeing all accounting functions for the Raffles and Fairmont hotels within the Red Sea cluster. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting and strict compliance with Accor policies and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier and Income Audit.
• Prepare and finalise daily, weekly and monthly financial reports such as flash reports, P&L statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, VAT/Zakat filings and other statutory compliance reports for KSA.
• Conduct monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain the General Ledger in line with USALI and Accor standards.
• Maintain the chart of accounts for the cluster, allocate revenues and expenses correctly between Raffles and Fairmont, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Support pre‑opening activities: set up bank accounts, permits, accounting software (SAP, SunSystems) and develop SOPs for all accounting functions.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or luxury hospitality accounting, preferably within a multi‑property cluster.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian tax laws (VAT, Zakat) and labour regulations.
• Familiarity with USALI and Accor accounting policies.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or SunSystems accounting systems.
• Ability to lead an accounting team and work closely with finance leadership.
