Chief Accountant (Saudi National Only)

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead daily accounting operations for a hotel within the Accor network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls. This senior position reports to senior management and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
• Supervise the accounting team and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Reconcile bank and balance‑sheet accounts regularly.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and financial transactions.
• Prepare tax reports and ensure timely filing.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
