Civil & Structural Design Engineer (FEED & Detailed Design)

About the role

Bilfinger is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to lead FEED and detailed design activities for oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering complete civil and structural packages that meet Saudi Aramco and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare FEED and detailed design deliverables for civil and structural works.
• Design and analyse reinforced concrete (RC) and steel structures, including buildings, pipe racks and equipment foundations.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations for foundations, buildings and industrial structures.
• Produce general arrangement (GA) drawings, formwork and reinforcement details, and full structural documentation.
• Develop design basis, calculation reports and technical documents.
• Review vendor drawings and provide technical comments.
• Ensure compliance with ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, piping).
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP and constructability assessments.
• Provide engineering support during construction and address site queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in an engineering consultancy.
• Strong exposure to FEED and detailed design projects.
• Experience on oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial or infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• FEED and detailed design methodology.
• Structural analysis of RC and steel structures.
• Reinforcement and formwork drawing preparation.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Preparation of GA drawings and calculation reports.
