Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead multi‑utility infrastructure projects on a turnkey/EPC basis across the MENA region. Reporting to the Infrastructure Projects Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and engineering to commissioning, start‑up and post‑project maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Study and fully understand the project scope of work.
• Lead the construction team and drive contractors to successful completion.
• Monitor all site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality and schedule requirements.
• Oversee onsite and offsite construction, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and contractual performance.
• Review daily work progress, plan ahead to prevent issues, and resolve emerging problems.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain high construction quality standards and proper techniques.
• Direct subcontractor performance, monitor progress and ensure contractual compliance.
• Participate in project evaluation, subcontractor selection and preparation of qualification statements.
• Manage drawings and submittals, follow up until approvals are obtained.
• Develop, review and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, aligning with milestones and contractual obligations.
• Track project progress against baseline schedules and implement recovery plans when needed.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery, inspection, logistics and after‑sales service.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in EPC and multi‑utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead construction teams and manage subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality standards and risk mitigation.
• Experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring and recovery planning.
• Ability to interact with internal departments, clients, authorities, suppliers and transporters.
