Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

About the role

The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will work closely with senior leadership to create and maintain safe working conditions and protect the environment on large‑scale construction projects. The role ensures compliance with local, client and corporate regulations while driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee HSE policies, procedures and programs in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend control measures.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and corrective‑action planning.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, track trends and prepare reports for internal and external audiences.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients and third‑party contractors to ensure compliance.
• Support senior management with strategic HSE guidance and contribute to business sustainability.

Required profile

• 13‑15 years of experience in HSE management on mega construction projects, preferably with large contracting firms.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar construction practices and local/international HSE legislation.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Proven ability to work with third‑party contractors to develop successful HSE programmes.
