Consultant Pediatric Pulmonology

About the role

The Riyadh Care Hospital is seeking a qualified Consultant in Pediatric Pulmonology to deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, and participation in departmental quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients with respiratory conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct regular ward rounds, develop multidisciplinary treatment plans, and manage pre‑operative and post‑operative care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of pediatric pulmonology.
• Serve as a Neonatology consultant to Surgery and Obstetrics‑Gynecology teams as required.
• Participate in the department’s on‑call rota and respond to emergencies.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training programs for doctors, nurses, and technicians.
• Lead performance‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with JCIA standards, hospital bylaws, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.
• Engage in continuous medical education through hospital activities, national and international conferences.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Extensive experience in managing pediatric respiratory patients in a hospital environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise junior staff.
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and professional ethics.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties and emergency response.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in pediatric respiratory diagnosis and treatment.
• Proficiency in performing pediatric pulmonary procedures.
• Knowledge of JCIA accreditation standards and Saudi health regulations.
