Customer Finance Specialist

About the role

The Customer Finance Specialist supports the Customer Finance function by managing key customer accounts, resolving deductions and claims, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of balances. Acting as a central coordination point between Sales, Trade Marketing and Finance, the role also involves direct engagement with customers, including periodic onsite visits, to improve cash collections and maintain transparency over trade‑related financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer balances and aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices and support collections strategy.
• Perform regular reconciliation of invoices, payments, deductions and credit notes; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and validate customer deductions related to trade promotions, rebates or marketing activities; coordinate with internal teams to confirm legitimacy.
• Conduct onsite customer visits to review outstanding balances, reconcile accounts and resolve disputes.
• Act as liaison between Customer Finance, Sales, Trade Marketing and Customer Service to resolve financial issues.
• Prepare aging reports, reconciliation summaries and trend analyses; provide insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, approval processes and financial controls.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts receivable, collections and customer finance processes.
• Proven ability to reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Familiarity with trade promotions, rebates and claim validation.
• Strong analytical skills for preparing reports and identifying trends.
• Effective communication to coordinate with sales, trade marketing and customer finance teams.
