Cybersecurity & Data Governance Manager

About the role

The Cybersecurity & Data Governance Manager will lead and oversee all cybersecurity and data governance activities across the organisation. You will establish robust frameworks, controls and monitoring mechanisms to protect digital assets, enhance resilience, mitigate cyber risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve cybersecurity strategies, policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor, identify, assess and coordinate response to threats, incidents, vulnerabilities and risks.
• Maintain cyber incident response, escalation, business continuity and recovery protocols.
• Establish and manage data governance frameworks covering quality, access controls, classification, retention and lifecycle management.
• Embed cybersecurity and data governance requirements into systems, projects and technology initiatives.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and control assessments.
• Ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations and standards such as ISO standards and NIS2.
• Promote awareness of cybersecurity and responsible data management.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, external auditors and regulators on cyber risk assessments and insurance considerations.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and updates for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, Data Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 6‑10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and data governance.
