Data Analyst – Fraud Protection

About the role

Group-IB is looking for a Data Analyst specialized in fraud protection to join its global cyber‑crime prevention team. You will work on detecting, analysing and mitigating fraudulent activities across financial and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze suspicious events and user sessions to identify fraud behaviour.
• Utilise and enhance cutting‑edge fraud detection technologies.
• Contribute to the development of a digital identity protection system.
• Prepare fraud activity reports and conduct research on malicious activity.
• Support customers with fraud analysis, investigations and platform usage.
• Develop use cases and anti‑fraud strategies for new projects.
• Assist during Proof‑of‑Concept and regular project phases.
• Deliver presentations and training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Configure new projects and create custom anti‑fraud logic.

Required profile

• Experience in the financial sector (banking, payments, fintech, fraud prevention or risk management).
• Proficiency in data visualization and preparing presentation materials.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and computer skills.
• Proficiency in Python and data‑analysis libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Experience working with databases.
• Basic knowledge of web and mobile application technologies.
