Denodo Developer – Data Virtualization Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Denodo Developer to join a leading organization in Riyadh. You will play a key role in building a modern enterprise data platform, delivering high‑performance data virtualization solutions that enable analytics and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Denodo virtual views, data services, and semantic data models.
• Build reusable APIs and data services for enterprise‑wide consumption.
• Integrate data from relational databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and flat files.
• Write VQL scripts, transformations, joins, and federated queries.
• Optimize query performance through caching, indexing, and tuning.
• Configure and support Denodo environments across Development, Test, and Production.
• Implement security controls, data masking, RBAC, metadata management, and governance standards.
• Monitor platform health, resolve production issues, and support deployments.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, BI teams, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and promote best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience developing and administering the Denodo Platform.
• Deep understanding of data virtualization architecture and principles.
• Excellent SQL and VQL development skills.
• Experience designing logical and semantic data models.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimise large‑scale enterprise data environments.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
