Dermatology Senior Registrar

About the role

We are seeking a Dermatology Senior Registrar to deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care to in‑patients and out‑patients within a tertiary teaching hospital. The role involves independent patient management under consultant supervision, contributing to clinical excellence and education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full medical and surgical care for admitted dermatology patients, either independently or under consultant guidance.
• Run outpatient clinics according to the departmental rota.
• Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret investigations, establish diagnoses and plan treatments.
• Apply hospital‑approved clinical guidelines to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and residents in patient management.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, departmental committees and hospital initiatives.
• Obtain informed consent for all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Document patient records, discharge summaries and medical reports in the electronic health system.
• Attend emergency codes and provide support as required.
• Teach, supervise and mentor interns, residents and fellows.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized university with completed internship and residency in dermatology.
• Post‑graduate qualification (MD, MS, MSc or equivalent) in the specialty.
• Valid medical license in the country of origin and eligibility for licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience after residency, preferably in a tertiary or teaching hospital.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.

Required skills

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital information systems.
