Director - Airport Asset Management

About the role

The Director of Airport Asset Management leads the strategic lifecycle management and operational performance of all airport‑owned assets and facilities. This senior position ensures infrastructure reliability, safety, regulatory compliance and financial efficiency while aligning with the Airport Masterplan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive asset management strategy covering planning, acquisition, operation, maintenance, renewal and disposal of airport assets.
• Align asset and facilities strategies with the airport’s master plan, capital improvement program and long‑term financial goals.
• Oversee day‑to‑day facilities management for terminals, landside and airside facilities, utilities, maintenance buildings and administrative properties.
• Lead preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to maximise asset performance and minimise downtime.
• Manage the assets and facilities budgeting process, monitor utilisation and report progress and challenges.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on infrastructure risk, performance and investment priorities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback and develop action plans.
• Participate in talent identification, recruitment, mentoring and performance management of the facilities team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Extensive experience in asset and facilities management within a complex, 24/7 operational environment, preferably in aviation or large‑scale infrastructure.
• Proven ability to develop and implement long‑term asset strategies and capital planning.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards and sustainability initiatives.
