HVAC Engineer

About the role

DAAD Global LLC is looking for a technically strong HVAC Engineer to lead the execution of HVAC projects from design review through testing, commissioning and handover. The role involves coordination with consultants, site execution control and cost management to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review HVAC drawings, specifications and BOQs, verify heat load calculations, equipment selection and duct/pipe sizing using AutoCAD.
• Prepare material submittals, technical data sheets, shop drawings and track approval status in a live submittal log.
• Support procurement by preparing material take‑offs, comparing supplier quotations and coordinating deliveries.
• Plan project execution, set weekly targets for the HVAC Supervisor, coordinate with civil, electrical and plumbing trades, and control site variations.
• Supervise pressure testing, vacuum testing, air balancing, system commissioning and prepare T&C reports, O&M manuals and handover documents.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, track actual cost against budget and submit weekly structured reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC execution experience with VRF, split/ducted, packaged and chilled water systems.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
