Director, Governance, Risk & Control Lead

About the role

The Director of Governance, Risk, and Control Lead will shape and oversee the governance framework for City Operations, ensuring clear decision‑making, compliance, and resilience across the organization. You will partner with senior stakeholders and central functions to embed robust risk and control practices in a high‑impact entertainment and cultural destination environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead governance, risk, controls, and business continuity for City Ops, driving compliant operations and proactive risk management.
• Manage City Ops committees and governance meetings, including agenda setting, minute taking, action tracking and record keeping.
• Establish and maintain the governance framework, defining forums, decision rights, escalation routes and reporting requirements.
• Develop and oversee standards and controls aligned with company policies, delegations and compliance obligations.
• Run the risk management process: identify, assess, mitigate, track and report risks, and ensure timely escalation.
• Support business continuity planning, playbook development, recovery plans and periodic readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with central functions on governance, risk, compliance, audit and continuity requirements.
• Monitor control implementation, resolve gaps and audit findings, and provide leadership reporting on key risks and governance actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, risk management, business administration or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in governance, risk management, internal controls, compliance or audit.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, delegations of authority, control environments and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing risk registers and leading governance committees.
