Director Medical Services - Remote Clinics

About the role

A Riyadh-based energy and natural resources company, one of the largest multi-commodity mining and metals companies in the Middle East, is looking for a Director Medical Services to manage medical services across a network of medium- to large-scale remote clinics. The role also leads insurance contracting, including sourcing, negotiating and managing insurer relationships, with the successful candidate responsible for all insurance negotiations and with a proven track record of handling high-value insurance contracts and benefit packages.

Key responsibilities

• Set the direction for medical services across remote clinics, including ambulatory services.
• Oversee the delivery of medical services to support business operations.
• Establish service priorities and monitor delivery against agreed plans.
• Coordinate medical service activities to keep provision consistent across the organisation.
• Review service needs and allocate resources to meet operational requirements.
• Provide clear reporting on medical service activity and key delivery matters.
• Work with internal teams to align medical services with business needs and identify practical improvements.

Required profile

• Proven ability to direct medical services in remote clinic settings.
• Experience overseeing ambulatory and other emergency response services.
• Experience overseeing medical service delivery in a highly complex organisation.
• Bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of occupational health standards, including fitness-for-work assessments, return-to-work evaluations and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in fitness-for-work determination, occupational health management and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Understanding of employee health risk management and workplace health compliance.

What we offer

• Permanent employment contract.
• Salary of AED 729,000 to AED 891,000 per year.
